ECTSpistettä
ECTSpistettä is a Finnish term that translates to "ECT points" or "ECT credits." It refers to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System, a standardized method used in higher education across Europe to measure and compare learning achievements. ECTSpistettä are awarded for successfully completing courses, modules, or other units of study. One academic year of full-time study typically corresponds to 60 ECTSpistettä. This system facilitates student mobility by allowing credits earned at one institution to be recognized and transferred to another, both within Finland and internationally. TheECTSpistettä system ensures transparency and comparability of educational qualifications, making it easier for students to study abroad or for employers to understand the value of degrees obtained in different European countries.
