Dzyaloshinské Moriya, also known as Dzyaloshinsky's Nightmare, is a term associated with theoretical physics, specifically concerning the behavior of magnetic materials at very low temperatures. It refers to a hypothetical, highly complex magnetic state that could arise under specific conditions, challenging conventional understanding of magnetism. The concept emerged from the work of Isaak Dzyaloshinsky, a prominent condensed matter physicist.

The theoretical basis for Dzyaloshinské Moriya lies in the interplay of spin-orbit coupling and crystal lattice symmetry. In certain materials, these interactions can lead to antisymmetric exchange interactions, known as the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction (DMI). While DMI itself is a well-established phenomenon that can stabilize magnetic textures like skyrmions, Dzyaloshinské Moriya describes a more extreme and potentially unstable regime.

It is hypothesized that under extreme conditions, such as very high magnetic fields or specific material compositions, the DMI could drive a system into a state characterized by a highly intricate and possibly chaotic spin configuration. This state would be exceptionally difficult to predict or control, hence the evocative "nightmare" moniker. Research in this area aims to understand the fundamental limits of magnetic order and explore exotic phases of matter. Experimental verification of such a state remains a significant challenge.
