Dwukolorowe

Dwukolorowe is a Polish adjective meaning two-colored or two-tone. It describes objects, designs, or systems that feature two distinct colors and can apply to various domains, from visual arts to technology.

It is formed from dwa (two) and kolor (color) with the adjectival suffix -owe, and it agrees with the gender and number of the noun it modifies (dwukolorowa, dwukolorowy, dwukolorowe).

In printing and graphic design, dwukolorowy druk refers to two-color printing using two inks; posters, logos, and charts may be produced in dwukolorowe schemes such as black and red. In lighting and electronics, dwukolorowe diody LED or diody LED dwukolorowe are capable of emitting two colors or switching between them (bicolor LEDs). In heraldry and vexillology, dwukolorowe motifs or dwukolorowe flagi describe designs with two distinct tinctures.

In contemporary use, the term is common for describing color schemes (dwukolorowy schemat kolorów) or branding that relies on two primary colors, often chosen for contrast and recognizability. While it denotes two colors, it does not specify which colors are used, leaving those choices to context.
