Drava

Drava is a river in Central Europe, primarily flowing through Croatia and Slovenia. It is a right tributary of the Danube, which it joins near the city of Osijek in Croatia. The river has a length of approximately 327 kilometers and a drainage basin area of about 10,300 square kilometers. The Drava's source is located in the Julian Alps in Slovenia, near the town of Tržič. The river flows generally eastward, passing through the towns of Maribor and Ptuj in Slovenia before entering Croatia. In Croatia, it flows through the regions of Međimurje, Podravina, and Slavonia. The Drava is an important waterway for transportation and irrigation, and it is also a significant source of hydroelectric power. The river's ecosystem supports a variety of plant and animal species, including several endangered ones.
