Dontnod

Dontnod Entertainment, commonly referred to as Dontnod, is a French video game developer based in Paris with an additional studio in Montreal. Founded in 2008, the company focuses on narrative-driven experiences that emphasize player choice and character development.

Dontnod’s projects include Remember Me (2013), an action-adventure published by Capcom; Life is Strange (2015) and its sequels Life is Strange 2 (2018) and related entries, a critically recognized episodic series published by Square Enix; Vampyr (2018), an action RPG set in 1918 London published by Focus Home Interactive; and Tell Me Why (2020), a narrative adventure released as a title under Xbox Game Studios.

The studio has pursued a multi-project development approach, maintaining its Paris headquarters alongside a Montreal studio to support multiple titles concurrently. Dontnod collaborates with various publishers for distribution and marketing, including Capcom, Square Enix, Focus Home Interactive, and Microsoft on different projects.

Dontnod is noted for its emphasis on narrative experimentation, branching storylines, and themes that explore social and personal issues within interactive media. The company continues to develop original IPs and expand its production capacity to support ongoing and upcoming projects in the narrative game space.
