Diville

Diville is a fictional urban municipality in the northern region of Valeron. It lies at the confluence of the Alder and Mira rivers and serves as the administrative center of the Lykos District. The city covers roughly 115 square kilometers and supports a population of about 120,000 people, with a historic core that preserves medieval street plans alongside modern districts.

The name Diville is believed to derive from a combination of an old regional term for "dividing river" and the French word ville for town, though the exact origin is uncertain and various local legends exist.

Diville's earliest records date to the 9th century, when a small fortress guarded a river crossing. It grew as a market town in the late medieval period, gained city rights in the 16th century, and expanded during the industrial era with mills and rail links.
