Ditantang, also known as the "Tang Dynasty of the South," was a Chinese dynasty that existed from 937 to 979 AD. It was founded by Li Bing, a general of the Later Tang Dynasty, after the fall of the Later Jin Dynasty. The name "Ditantang" was chosen to distinguish it from the Northern Tang Dynasty, which also existed during the same period. The capital of the Ditantang was initially at Jiankangfu (modern-day Nanjing), but it was later moved to Lin'an (modern-day Hangzhou).
