Diljit

Diljit Dosanjh is an Indian singer and actor known for his work in Punjabi and Hindi cinema. Born on January 6, 1984, in Dosanjh Kalan, a village in Punjab, he began his career as a live performer and released his first Punjabi recordings in the early 2000s. His music blends traditional Punjabi folk with contemporary pop and hip hop influences, earning him a large following in the Punjabi music scene as well as attention from audiences beyond the region.

In the 2010s he transitioned to Hindi cinema while maintaining a strong presence in Punjabi music. He made his Bollywood debut in Udta Punjab (2016) and received praise for his performance there.
