Destillert

Destillert is a term used in Norwegian to describe liquids or products that have been produced by distillation. It is the past participle of destillere and functions as an adjective. In Danish the equivalent form is destilleret, in Swedish destillerad.

Distillation is a separation and purification process that relies on differences in boiling points. By heating a mixture, the more volatile components vaporize and are condensed in a separate vessel, yielding a distillate. Applications include distilled water, essential oil distillates, and distilled alcoholic beverages.
