Demultiplekserit

Demultiplexers, often called demuxes, are digital logic circuits that switch a single input line to one of several output lines. The selection of which output line receives the input is controlled by a set of select lines. A demultiplexer essentially performs the opposite function of a multiplexer, which combines multiple inputs into a single output. The number of output lines in a demultiplexer is typically a power of two, determined by the number of select lines. For example, a demultiplexer with 'n' select lines will have 2^n output lines. Each unique combination of the select lines corresponds to a unique output line being activated. If the select lines are all zero, the input is routed to the first output. If the select lines represent binary '1', the input goes to the second output, and so on. Demultiplexers are fundamental components in digital systems and are used in various applications, including data routing, serial-to-parallel conversion, and address decoding in computer memory. They play a crucial role in directing information to the correct destination within a complex circuit.
