Demodulátorok

Demodulátorok (Hungarian for demodulators) are electronic devices or circuits that perform demodulation, the process of extracting the original information - bearing signal from a modulated carrier wave. In communication systems, modulation encodes data or audio onto a carrier signal; demodulation reverses this by recovering the baseband signal (such as audio or digital data).

Demodulators operate by detecting specific characteristics of the modulated signal: for amplitude - modulated (AM) signals, envelope detection is common; for frequency - modulated (FM) signals, frequency discrimination is used; and for phase - modulated (PM) signals, phase comparison techniques apply. They can be analog or digital, with digital demodulators employing algorithms to decode complex modulation schemes.

Common applications include radio receivers, television sets, mobile phones, and digital communication networks. These devices are critical for converting modulated signals back into usable information, enabling the transmission and reception of audio, video, and data across various media.
