Delladesivo

Delladesivo is not a standard term in adhesive science; in Italian the usual word is adesivo. When used informally, delladesivo can refer to an adhesive material in general. Adhesives are substances that bond surfaces by adhesion to substrates and cohesion within the material. They span a range of chemistries and curing methods.

Common classes include water-based adhesives (such as polyvinyl acetate, PVA), hot-melt, solvent-based, and pressure-sensitive adhesives used in tapes. Reactive adhesives such as epoxies, cyanoacrylates, silicones, and polyurethanes cure through chemical reactions; UV-curable and heat-activated variants rely on light or temperature to set.

Applications include packaging, woodworking, automotive assembly, electronics, textiles, and construction. The choice depends on substrate compatibility, required strength, flexibility, exposure to moisture, temperature, and aging.

Key properties to consider are bond strength, shear and peel performance, open time, cure time, and environmental resistance. Surface preparation and cure conditions are critical for reliable bonding. Safety considerations include solvent or VOC exposure, flammability, and proper disposal according to regulations.
