Deckenpriorität

Deckenpriorität is a German term that literally means "ceiling priority." It is not a widely standardized concept in German technical vocabularies, and its exact meaning depends on the field. Generally, the term denotes the prioritization of ceiling-related aspects within planning, design or control processes.

In architecture and construction, Deckenpriorität can refer to prioritizing the ceiling plane in installation planning. This may involve routing electrical conduits, ventilation ducts or fire-protection elements along the ceiling, or making decisions about suspended ceilings to maximize accessibility, minimize disruption to walls and columns, or optimize structural constraints.

In building technology and facilities management, the term may describe a rule in control logic or maintenance planning wherein ceiling-mounted devices such as sensors, cameras or luminaires are given precedence.
