Daugia

Daugia is a Lithuanian derivational prefix meaning "many" or "multi-". It is used to form compound adjectives and nouns that express multiplicity, typically attaching to bases that begin with a vowel. The prefix originates from the adjective daug, meaning "many," and appears in standard modern Lithuanian orthography as daugia- when prefixed to a root.

In practice, daugia- is productive in technical, architectural, and descriptive vocabulary. A well-known example is daugiaaukštis, meaning high-rise, a building with many storeys. As a bound morpheme, daugia- does not function as a standalone word but instead combines with a base to create a new term that conveys multiplicity.
