Dammdelar is a fictional city-state in the world of Eldoria. It is a major trading hub located on the delta of the Silvershore River, with a natural harbor protected by breakwaters. The city blends maritime commerce with artisanal production and serves as a regional gateway between inland markets and coastal routes.

Founded around 1080 by Tarmeni caravans and seafarers, Dammdelar grew as a crossroads of land and sea trade. It gained de facto independence from the Kingdom of Valen in 1216 after a protracted treaty, flourished under the Merchant Council, and weathered pirate raids before modernizing its infrastructure and governance.

Today Dammdelar is governed by the Court of Nine, an oligarchic council composed of the heads of major guilds, with an Archon serving as chief magistrate. The economy relies on port trades, shipbuilding, textiles, pottery, and grain storage; the city uses the currency dalar. Dammdelar acts as a regional hub that links inland markets to coastal routes and seaborne commerce.

Architectural style emphasizes stone terraces and shaded arcades. Notable sites include the Lighthouse of Lumen, the Hall of Weights, and the Glass Market. An annual Sea Lantern festival marks the start of the sailing season; religious life centers on the Sea Faith, with temples clustered along the harbor.
