DVBT2HEVC
DVB-T2 HEVC refers to a digital television broadcasting standard that combines the DVB-T2 transmission system with the HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) video compression standard. DVB-T2 is the second generation of the Digital Video Broadcasting terrestrial standard, developed by the DVB Project. It offers significant improvements in efficiency and capacity over its predecessor, DVB-T, allowing broadcasters to transmit more channels or higher quality video within the same radio frequency spectrum. HEVC, also known as H.265, is a video compression standard that provides roughly double the data compression ratio of its predecessor, H.264/AVC, at the same level of video quality, or substantially improved video quality at the same bit rate.
When DVB-T2 is used in conjunction with HEVC, it enables broadcasters to deliver advanced television services.
