DPWH

The Department of Public Works and Highways, commonly known as DPWH, is the executive department of the Philippine government that is responsible for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of the country's infrastructure. Its mandate primarily focuses on roads, bridges, flood control systems, and other public works vital to the nation's development and economic growth. Established in its current form in 1987 through Executive Order No. 123, its roots trace back to earlier government bodies tasked with public works.
