DOCSISstandarden
DOCSIS (Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification) is a set of technical standards that enable the delivery of high-speed data, voice, and video services over existing coaxial cable infrastructure. Developed by the CableLabs organization, DOCSIS standards facilitate the integration of broadband internet, telephony, and television services into a unified platform, commonly referred to as cable modem technology.
The first version of DOCSIS, released in 1997, provided downstream speeds of up to 10 Mbps and
DOCSIS 3.1, released in 2013, further improved performance by introducing full duplex communication, enabling simultaneous downstream
The latest standard, DOCSIS 4.0, introduced in 2020, builds on previous versions by doubling the spectral efficiency
DOCSIS standards play a critical role in modern broadband infrastructure, enabling cable operators to deliver high-speed
