DNS propagatievertragingen refers to the time it takes for changes made to DNS records to become visible across the entire internet. When a DNS record is updated, such as changing the IP address associated with a domain name, this change needs to propagate through the global network of DNS servers. This propagation is not instantaneous. Different DNS servers around the world cache DNS information for varying lengths of time, determined by the Time To Live (TTL) value set for each record. A higher TTL means a longer caching period, and therefore a longer potential propagation delay. Conversely, a lower TTL will result in faster propagation as servers will query for updated information more frequently.
