Czteropitrowe
Czteropitrowe, also known as four-chambered hearts, are a characteristic feature of mammals, birds, and some reptiles. The term "czteropitrowe" is derived from the Polish word for "four-chambered," reflecting the structure of the heart in these animals. The heart is divided into four chambers: two atria and two ventricles. The atria receive blood from the body and lungs, while the ventricles pump blood out to the body and lungs, respectively. This four-chambered structure allows for efficient oxygenation and circulation, enabling these animals to maintain a high metabolic rate and engage in complex behaviors. The evolution of the four-chambered heart is a key adaptation that has contributed to the success of these groups in various ecological niches.
