Czestwo
Czestwo is a Polish noun that appears mainly in historical or literary contexts. It denotes a fellowship, company, or brotherhood formed for mutual support, religious devotion, or vocational purposes. In medieval and early modern Poland, czestwo could describe an organized group within a guild, a confraternity attached to a church, or a collegiate association. The term is largely archaic in contemporary standard Polish and is encountered primarily in texts referencing historical social structures or in stylistic usage in literature. Modern equivalents include towarzystwo (society or association), bractwo (brotherhood), or wspólnota (community). When present, czestwo is usually understood through context rather than as a common everyday term.
Orthographic notes: in older Polish texts, the form may appear without diacritical marks as czestwo, though
