Cubelet

Cubelets are a modular robotics system designed for educational purposes. Developed by Modular Robotics, they are small, magnetic cubes that can be snapped together to create functional robots without the need for programming or complex assembly. Each Cubelet possesses a specific function, such as sensing light, rotating, or displaying emotions.

The core concept behind Cubelets is their ability to interact based on their proximity and connection. When Cubelets are snapped together, they form a circuit, and their individual behaviors combine to create emergent robotic actions. For example, connecting a "Drive" Cubelet with a "Battery" Cubelet will cause the robot to move. Adding a "Light Sensor" Cubelet might make it move towards a light source.

The system is designed to be intuitive and accessible to children and beginners, fostering an understanding of robotics, logic, and problem-solving through play. There are various types of Cubelets, each contributing a unique capability to the robot. This modularity allows for a wide range of creations and encourages experimentation.
