Csúcsellenállást

Csúcsellenállást is a Hungarian term used to describe the maximum resistance observed in a set of measurements or within a signal’s evolution. The word is formed from csúcs (peak) and ellenállás (resistance), and the form csúcsellenállást is the accusative case, used when stating that a particular measurement yielded that peak value. In technical Hungarian, csúcsellenállás is a descriptive concept rather than a separate physical quantity, identifying the highest resistance reached under specified conditions.

The term is used in electronics, physics, and materials science to refer to the peak value of resistance in a resistance-versus-time or resistance-versus-frequency curve. For example, it may describe transient heating effects that raise resistance, nonlinear behavior in a resistor network, or a phase-related change in materials whose resistance depends on temperature or other stimuli. In AC measurements, the csúcsellenállás corresponds to the maximum real part of the impedance Z(ω); in time-domain data, it is the highest R(t) observed. The exact interpretation depends on the experimental setup and the measurement conditions, such as temperature, current, and frequency.
