Csehszlovákia, known in English as Czechoslovakia, was a sovereign state in Central Europe that existed from October 1918 to January 1993. It was formed from the union of two distinct historical regions: Bohemia and Moravia, which formed the Czech part, and Slovakia, which was historically part of the Kingdom of Hungary.
