Csapadék is the Hungarian word for precipitation, encompassing all forms of water that fall from the atmosphere to the Earth's surface, including rain, snow, sleet, and hail. In meteorological terms, precipitation is a key component of the hydrological cycle, with water vapor condensing into droplets or ice crystals that eventually become heavy enough to overcome atmospheric lift and descend.
