It's important to note that Cronbach's alpha is a unidimensional measure of reliability. If a scale is intended to measure multiple distinct constructs, alpha should be calculated for each subscale separately. Additionally, alpha can be influenced by the number of items in a scale; longer scales tend to have higher alpha values. Therefore, it should not be the sole indicator of scale quality, and other reliability and validity measures should also be considered.
