CrC2

Chromium carbide, with the chemical formula CrC2, is a compound of chromium and carbon. It is one of several chromium carbides, others including Cr23C6, Cr7C3, and Cr3C2. CrC2 is generally considered to be less stable than its counterparts, particularly Cr3C2, which is the most common and commercially significant chromium carbide.

The properties of CrC2 are less extensively studied and documented compared to other chromium carbides. It is typically a hard, refractory material.
