CpCpkwaarden are statistical measures used in quality control and process capability analysis. Cp, or Process Potential, indicates the potential capability of a process to produce output within specification limits, assuming the process is centered. It measures the width of the process spread relative to the total specification width. A higher Cp value suggests a process has the potential to be more capable.

Cpk, or Process Capability Index, goes a step further by considering not only the process spread but also its centering relative to the specification limits. It accounts for whether the process average is off-center between the upper and lower specification limits. Cpk is the minimum of the ratio of the distance from the process mean to the nearest specification limit, divided by half the specification width.

Both Cp and Cpk are calculated using the process standard deviation. A process is considered capable if its Cpk value meets a predetermined target, often 1.33 or higher, indicating that the process is likely to remain within specifications even with minor variations. These indices are crucial for identifying areas for process improvement and ensuring consistent product quality.
