In international and cross-border productions, two or more independent producers from different countries share financing, creative input, and exploitation of the work. How it is established: To obtain coproducentstatus, a producer typically contributes a defined share of the project’s budget, participates in decision-making, and signs a coproduction agreement outlining ownership, participation in profits, and creative control.
