Conditionally

Conditionally is an adverb that expresses dependence on specified conditions. It conveys that a statement, outcome, or action is not unconditional but limited to particular requirements.

In grammar, conditionally modifies verbs, adjectives, or clauses to indicate conditionality. It is often used with verbs such as "be" or "allow" to signal provisional status: "The grant was conditionally approved pending verification." It can also pair with phrases like "conditioned on" or "subject to" to express the same idea, as in "Access is conditionally granted on payment of the fee."

In logic and mathematics, "conditionally" relates to conditional statements, often phrased "if P then Q." In statistics and data analysis, it appears in phrases such as "X is true conditionally on Y," meaning Y is a condition under which X holds.
