Concordança

Concordança is a concept found in linguistics and grammar that refers to the agreement between different words in a sentence. This agreement can manifest in various ways, most commonly in gender, number, and person. For instance, in many Romance languages, adjectives must agree in gender and number with the noun they modify. A singular masculine noun would require a singular masculine adjective, and a plural feminine noun would require a plural feminine adjective.

Verb conjugation also demonstrates concordança. Verbs typically agree in person and number with their subject. If the subject is "I" (first person singular), the verb will take a specific form. If the subject is "they" (third person plural), the verb will take a different form.
