Comalian refers to anything related to the Union of the Comoros. This island nation is located in the Indian Ocean off the coast of East Africa, between northeastern Madagascar and northeastern Mozambique. The Union of the Comoros is an archipelago consisting of three major islands: Grande Comore, Anjouan, and Mohéli. A fourth island, Mayotte, is also geographically part of the Comoro Islands but remains an overseas department and region of France.
