Coaxialäänilähdön
Coaxial audio output, often referred to as S/PDIF coaxial, is a digital audio connection standard. It transmits digital audio signals using an electrical connection. The signal is encoded in a way that allows for the transmission of uncompressed stereo PCM audio or compressed surround sound formats like Dolby Digital and DTS. A coaxial cable, typically a standard RCA cable, is used for this connection, which is distinct from an optical (TOSLINK) coaxial connection. The characteristic impedance of the coaxial cable is usually 75 ohms. This type of connection is commonly found on consumer audio and video equipment such as DVD players, Blu-ray players, AV receivers, and soundcards. It offers a robust and relatively simple method for transferring high-quality digital audio from one device to another without the signal degradation that can occur with analog connections over longer distances. The coaxial connection ensures that the digital audio data arrives at the receiving device intact, allowing for accurate digital-to-analog conversion.
