This method is often employed when the original data is too extensive to process directly or when it has been summarized into a grouped frequency distribution.

To determine the ClassMedian, one first identifies the median class, which is the class interval containing the median value. This is found by calculating the cumulative frequency and locating the class where the cumulative frequency first exceeds half of the total number of observations. Once the median class is identified, a specific formula is used to estimate the median. The formula typically involves the lower boundary of the median class, the size of the median class interval, the cumulative frequency of the class preceding the median class, and the frequency of the median class itself.

The ClassMedian is a useful statistical measure when precise individual data points are unavailable or impractical to work with. It provides a representative central tendency for grouped data, allowing for comparisons and analyses within the context of aggregated information. However, it is important to note that ClassMedian is an approximation and may differ from the true median if the raw data were available.
