Chydenius
Chydenius is a Finnish surname. The best known bearer is Anders Chydenius (1729–1803), a Finnish priest, naturalist, and public thinker who became a leading figure of the Finnish Enlightenment. Chydenius served as an ordained cleric and was active in public life during the period when Finland was part of the Swedish realm. He worked as a parish priest and also participated in politics as a representative in the Riksdag of the Estates, where he used his platform to advocate for civil liberties and economic reform.
