Chuikov
Nikolai Vasilyevich Chuikov was a prominent Soviet military commander during World War II, known for his leadership in several major battles and his contributions to the Red Army’s victories. Born on December 17, 1904, in the village of Khamovniki, near Moscow, Chuikov joined the Red Army in 1922 and rose through the ranks during the Soviet Union’s early military campaigns. His early career included participation in the Soviet-Finnish War (1939–1940) and the early stages of Operation Barbarossa, where he demonstrated tactical skill and adaptability.
