Chlorocyclohexene

Chlorocyclohexene is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H9Cl. It is a chlorinated derivative of cyclohexene, a cyclic alkene. The chlorine atom is attached to one of the carbon atoms in the six-membered ring, which also contains a double bond. There are two possible isomers of chlorocyclohexene, depending on the position of the chlorine atom relative to the double bond: 1-chlorocyclohexene and 3-chlorocyclohexene.

These compounds are typically colorless liquids and possess a characteristic odor. They are generally synthesized through the addition of chlorine to cyclohexene or via dehydrohalogenation reactions of dichlorocyclohexanes.
