Ceryneia
Ceryneia was an ancient Greek city located in Arcadia, on the northern slopes of Mount Panachaicon. Its strategic position made it a significant stronghold in the region. The city is perhaps most famously associated with the myth of the Ceryneian Hind, a magnificent deer with golden antlers and bronze hooves that was sacred to Artemis. One of the Twelve Labors of Heracles was to capture this elusive creature alive and bring it back to Eurystheus.
