Cathcart

Cathcart is a district within the southside of Glasgow, Scotland. It is situated about 3 miles south of the city center. Historically, Cathcart was a separate burgh and a royal burgh before being absorbed into Glasgow. The River Cart flows through Cathcart, giving the district its name. The river was historically important for industry, and remnants of its past can still be found in the area.
