Carnoso is a fictional genus of carnivorous plants introduced in the Serenia science fiction series. The name and concept are used within the in-universe flora to illustrate adaptations that combine fleshy leaf tissues with predatory traps.

Taxonomy and species: In the series, Carnoso comprises at least three described species: Carnoso alba, Carnoso rubra, and Carnoso viridis. Carnoso alba is described as having pale, almost translucent leaves with a pale midrib; Carnoso rubra shows reddish coloration on the trap surfaces; Carnoso viridis is notable for its bright green traps with a metallic sheen.
