Carbazates
Carbazates are a class of organic compounds that are derivatives of carbazic acid. Carbazic acid itself has the chemical formula NH2NHCOOH. Carbazates, therefore, are esters or salts of this acid, with the general formula R-NHNHCOOR' or R-NHNHCOO-M+, where R is typically a hydrogen atom or an organic group, and R' or M+ represents an alkyl group, aryl group, or a metal cation respectively.
