Captans

Captans are a class of organic sulfur compounds with the general formula R-S-S-R, where R is an organic group. They are characterized by a disulfide bond (-S-S-) linking two identical organic fragments. This disulfide linkage is a key feature, differentiating them from other sulfur-containing organic molecules like thiols (R-SH) or sulfides (R-S-R').
