Campylobacterinfeksjon is a common bacterial infection caused by bacteria of the genus Campylobacter. The most frequent culprit is Campylobacter jejuni. This infection typically affects the gastrointestinal tract. Transmission usually occurs through the consumption of undercooked poultry or other contaminated food products, as well as through contact with contaminated water or feces from infected animals.
