Camaldoli
Camaldoli is a monastic settlement in the Tuscan Apennines, Italy, founded by Romuald of Ravenna in the 11th century. It is situated in the territory of Poppi, in the province of Arezzo. The Camaldoli complex is divided into two main parts: the Sacro Eremo (Holy Hermitage) and the Monastero (Monastery). The Sacro Eremo, located at a higher altitude, is where the monks live in individual hermitages, dedicated to prayer and contemplation. The Monastero, at a lower elevation, serves as a community center, library, and guesthouse.
