Cajicás

Cajicá, often written Cajicá in Spanish, is a municipality and town in the Cundinamarca Department of Colombia. It is part of the Metropolitan Area of Bogotá and sits on the Bogotá savanna, incorporating both urban neighborhoods and rural countryside. The area is characterized by a temperate highland climate and landscapes that range from agricultural fields to suburban developments.

Historically, the region was inhabited by the Muisca people before Spanish contact.
