CRTmonitorit
CRT monitorit, or Cathode Ray Tube monitors, were the dominant display technology for personal computers and televisions for several decades. They function by firing a beam of electrons from an electron gun at the back of the tube. This beam is then deflected by magnetic fields, causing it to scan across a phosphorescent screen at the front of the monitor. The phosphors glow when struck by electrons, creating the image seen by the user. Early CRT monitors were monochrome, displaying only shades of gray. The introduction of color CRTs, using three electron beams (red, green, and blue), allowed for a full spectrum of colors.
The advantages of CRT monitors included their fast response times, excellent color reproduction, and wide viewing
