A rich black might be C=0%, M=0%, Y=0%, K=100%, or a more complex build like C=60%, M=40%, Y=40%, K=100% for a deeper, more opaque black.

The combination of these percentages determines the final color. For instance, mixing equal amounts of Cyan and Magenta (C=50%, M=50%, Y=0%, K=0%) would theoretically produce a shade of blue, and adding Yellow would shift it towards green. The exact appearance of a color defined by CMYK values can vary slightly depending on the specific inks used, the paper stock, and the printing process. Therefore, color management and calibration are crucial in professional printing to ensure consistent and accurate color reproduction.
