CLPverordening

The CLPverordening, or the CLP Regulation, is Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on classification, labeling and packaging of substances and mixtures in the European Union. It implements the UN Globally Harmonized System (GHS) for hazard communication to ensure consistent assessment of hazards and to inform users about risks. Substances and mixtures placed on the market in the EU must be classified according to defined hazard categories and labeled with standardized pictograms, signal words, hazard statements (H-statements) and precautionary statements (P-statements). Packaging requirements are aligned to prevent leakage and contamination.
