CIPPtekniikkaa

CIPPtekniikkaa, or CIPP technology, refers to a trenchless pipe repair method. CIPP stands for Cured-In-Place Pipe. This technique is used to rehabilitate existing underground pipelines without the need for excavation. The process involves inserting a flexible liner saturated with a resin into the damaged pipe. This liner is then expanded, usually by air or water pressure, against the inner walls of the host pipe. Once in place, the resin is cured, either by heat or by ambient temperature, creating a new, seamless pipe within the old one.

The CIPP method is widely employed for repairing sewer lines, water mains, and other underground utilities that have suffered from cracks, leaks, or root intrusion. Its primary advantages include minimizing disruption to the surrounding environment, reducing traffic congestion, and often being a more cost-effective solution compared to traditional dig-and-replace methods. The new pipe formed by the CIPP process is typically stronger and more durable than the original, offering a long-term solution to pipe infrastructure problems. Different types of resins and liners are available, allowing for customization based on the specific needs and conditions of the pipe being repaired.
