CHPinstallaties
CHPinstallaties refers to Combined Heat and Power installations, also known as cogeneration. These systems generate electricity and useful heat simultaneously from a single fuel source, such as natural gas, biogas, or biomass. The primary advantage of CHP is its significantly higher energy efficiency compared to separate production of heat and electricity. By utilizing the waste heat that would otherwise be lost in conventional power generation, CHP systems can achieve efficiencies of 80% or even higher. This improved efficiency leads to lower fuel consumption and reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
CHP installations are employed in a variety of settings, including industrial facilities, commercial buildings, district heating
